Storm Part 2- Chapter 1Chapter 1 At long lastStorm Part 2- Chapter 1
My ears rang with the sound of crashing porcelain. I was sat on a white surface, my legs stretched out before me, slightly parted, and my bum was aching. I allowed myself a moment to adjust to the change. My vision was extremely blurry, and at first I feared that my eyes had been damaged in the journey between the worlds. I rubbed my head- I'd hit it on the wall behind me on the landing, but fortunately, not very hard. After a couple of minutes, I came to realise that the cause of my impaired vision, was that I seemed to be under a heavy downpour of rain. I abruptly scrambled to my feet, intending to

Storm- ProloguePrologueStorm- Prologue
Into the harsh silence, the air began to fold in waves, lapping through the atmosphere like the ocean, crystal clear and shimmering. At first, it seemed like the end of the world for the humans. Some ran from the waves, fearing the cold hand of death that threatened to clasp their lungs and drown them. Others accepted death openly, and sat and only watched with a look of pure tranquillity on their peaceful faces as the waves approached, eventual washing over their heads cleanly, leaving them dry and unharmed. In some parts of the world, nothing happened at all, for the people were asleep in their upside down night, and

I left the room in a daze, only to find Quentin hurrying towards me from the end of the corridor. I stared blindly at him as he approached. "Dinner is served," he smiled sarcastically and bowed, and then led me back down the corridor in the direction he'd just come from. I shook myself internally, and scurried to keep up with him. "I've been meaning to ask you," I breathed, trying to sway my mind from Dixie, "you said that I'd 'crash' a couple of hours after you'd boosted me with optimism, but I didn't. What's with that?" We rounded a corner, and trotted down a narrow spiral staircase, l

"What are you talking about?" I breathed, my whole body frozen into a solid pose. No response came, and I sat in my statue impersonation as the thoughts and confusions crashed through my tired mind. The silence that had a few moments ago been a torment, now served as a pacifier to my frantic head, allowing me to arrange my crazed panics. 'How could I be a half Vampire?' I thought in a frenzy. 'My parents are both Fairies or are they? Yes, of course they are. They have wings. They have auras. They don't have fangs. They are most certainly Fairies. The Emperors must just be mistaken. &nbs

Rise of a King: Chapter 4CHAPTER 4: THE GAMESRise of a King: Chapter 4
Acid rain fell on the humungous stadium that housed the Gladiator Games. There was no stopping the festivities though. This was the perfect weather for the bloody fights that took place. As the lethal storm pelted the skins of the competitors, many roared in pain. Some dropped dead from the complete incineration of their skin. The stronger ones learned to bear it. They welcomed it. This meant most fights would be shorter and less strenuous. Wake up Sinbad.
Sinbad awoke with th
| I pretty much stick to fictional prose, as I've wanted to be a novelist since about the age of 7. I'm 15 years old, and so aim my stories at people around my age, possibly leaning slightly towards females with my favourite genre being fantasy and fairies. I use Deviant Art to get criticism to improve, and the comments I've had so far on 'Storm' have been very helpful, and I'd appreciate more people's opinions. |
